POOR PRINT QUALITY Sep 10, 2009
By S. Johnson

Don't be fooled by the fake positive reviews on this item. The print darkness is less then half that of a genuine HP cartridge. And that's comparing these "compatible" new ones to an HP cartridge which is within a few pages of being completely dead. Plus there are lots of areas within a printed page that are even lighter to the point where you can barely read the print. I'm a small business owner. I'm all for saving $, trust me. But this product just isn't worth it.

Toner cartridge does not perform. Dec 28, 2009

Tried the 1st cartridge. Does not print black. A medium gray at best.
I guess the old adage "you get what you pay for" holds true.
Will ditch the remaing 2 cartridges and buy a real one from HP.

THIRD EDITED REVIEW: PRINT QUALITY IS AWFUL AND NOT WORTH IT Feb 27, 2011
By Clovis Friends,
I have never edited a review before - but this is my third for this review. Let me please be frank and as fair as possible.
The ink quality is atrocious. It is not acceptable for PERSONAL use and most certainly not for PROFESSIONAL use. My ink smears, leaves light gray and sometimes dark lines from the pages top to bottom, and completely smears the top-center or top-right corner. Worse, the ink is showing wear as if I just bought it; i.e., black ink appearing gray.
My original review praised this ink; my second edited review mentioned how it smears in the top-center and top-right corner (and how it is fine for personal use); and my third, and final, review is a caution to NOT buy this product.
It is neither useful nor good for personal or professional use. You have been warned.

Do not purchase from greattoners Jul 27, 2011

I bought this 3 pack to save money. Little did I know the second one was defective. Of course now that I have finally gotten to the second cartridge, the warranty period is up. greattoners wants me to pay shipping to return a defective item. Shipping to California is almost a smuch as just buying a new one!

amazing! Sep 04, 2010

After reading mixed reviews about this product having grayish colors, i thought id try my luck on this one and see how it would work. I bought mine from JPquality and the item arrived in just under a week. Now even thought my regular hp cartridge had not run out of toner yet i felt that i should check to make sure the print quality was okay so i could decide to return or not. After pulling the tape and orange tabs i put it in my printer and printed some pdfs i needed for printing. When i went to look at the papers i was expecting more of grayish tones and lines on the paper. Instead it looked exactly the same as the hp real toner. Now i wanted to do one more test: the scratch test to see how easily the toner could scratch off the paper. Now i know that the hp toner i had before scratched of easily so i wanted to see this one. I scratched it with my pen a few times and nothing! I did even more and the paper ripped. I am so amazed by how this cartridge sells for only $15 each as opposed to hp's $60 range. Thank you. Im guessing the bad reviews are from other sketchy sellers on amazon. So next time i run out of ink in these babies (probably in a year or so) ill be sure to go to jpquality.
