Not what I expected!! Mar 07, 2008

This charging station does come in handy, however there is NOT a wall plug with this model. It plugs directly into the Wii. Therefore the Wii must be turned on to charge the controllers. The 2 color setup is nice. RED meaning batteries need charged and BLUE when they are charged. I would recommend to those needing a charging system to buy one that plugs into a wall outlet. I also feel that the actual charge of the battery should last a liitle longer.

Save your money and save your Wii Aug 11, 2008

I didn't notice when buying this unit that it ran off of USB and off the Wii consol... to bad. It takes forever to charge the batteries, longer than the use you get out of it and the Wii has to be left on for the full 12 hours of charge time. That's more wear and tear on the Console than is necessary. Don't get this.

Another charging station Feb 15, 2008
By C. Baker Overall the charging station works great, the only complaint is when left on overnight to charge the batteries, the living room fills with blue light.
The batteries that came with it don't hold as long of a charge as I would like but they are good enough for our gaming needs.

Garbage Dec 01, 2009
By Jason Brobeck This thing is absolute garbage. As other's pointed out, it only charges while the Wii is on, so you have to leave it on to charge, which is completely impractical a lot of times. Half the time it would start out red to indicate charging, then quickly change to blue, as if it thought that batteries were either fully charged, or the controller just wasn't seated properly. It will even turn purple sometimes, like even this device was completely confused on what was going on. Now after charging the battery packs a whopping 3 times probably, they hold no charge whatsoever. They last literally 10 seconds and then shut off. Put it back on the charging station - turns Red - Yeah, it's charging! 20 seconds later - Blue, doh, fully charged and drains immediately. Leave it on overnight thinking maybe it still has to charge despite the blue color - nope, still drains immediately upon using. Actually, now that I'm writing this review I am reminded at how useless this thing is and I think I'm gonna go throw it in the garbage, heh.

The battery packs that come with this charger do not hold a charge. I plugged them into my usb port and let charge 8 hours. Both Battery packs where dead in 30 min.
