Things made right fast Sep 06, 2008
By Barbara Lardinais
"B. Lardinais"
I used my comb binder only a few times when it quit working. Oh no! I thought. What were the chances that I would ever get back to the company that sold it and have things made right? I had been burned in the past with Internet purchases. To my surprise there was an actual phone number to call for customer service and an actual person (with a name) answered my call. Immediately I was given a return authorization and a new comb binder was shipped to me BEFORE the other one was received back. I was more than pleased. The new comb binder arrived quickly and appears to be working exactly right this time.

Great machine, with a couple of caveats Sep 03, 2009
By J. A. Neal
"excelsior"
I really like the machine overall - well constructed, and an excellent price on Amazon for it (Office Depot had it listed for $200). Only problem I have had is when I feed sheets in for punching, they seem to hang on a seem often, which sometimes misaligns paper. Once you adjust to this and know how far the paper should go it's fine, just an inconveinence. I'd still recommend it though, I love the way the comb assembly works on this, and that it has a separate lever from the punch so you can punch replacement sheets with a book open on top!

A Law Office Must Have May 28, 2010
By S. Potter I use to send out my completed appellate briefs to be printed and bound because I did not have a binding solution. Not anymore. With this GBC unit, binding is easy. I was binding within 2 minutes of having the machine out of the box. The instructions could have been more clear on how to correctly insert the comb into the machine. After about 30 seconds to sort it out, though, I was binding my first volume. Many, many more have followed. There haven't been any problems at all.
Before I bought the comb binder, I seriously considered a Velobinder. Even though lawyers in my area commonly use combs, I was concerned about the possibility of a comb coming undone in the hands of a judge. That worry, though, was unfounded. It is important, though, to choose the correct size comb.
A couple of notes: One can punch up to 15 pages at a time. However, I found with the 26 pound stock I use, 10 pages was about the limit for relatively effortless punching. Next, the more you bind, the easier it gets. In the beginning, it was mildly tricky to line up the comb with the holes. After binding a few volumes, though, it becomes easy and quick. Finally, there are many styles of covers available from paper to plastic in different colors and thicknesses. I have been using clear covers with great success. My output looks exactly like the copies I would pay hundreds of dollars to have Staples or Kinko's complete.
This product does exactly what it is supposed to do and does it well. Highly recommended.

Great product even better price! Jul 28, 2009

I needed one for my office...I was going to place the order with OfficeMax with other office supplies and thought that the $199 price was high that that they wree charging...checked on Amazon and it was $117.00 PLUS free shipping.
Could not be happier, got what I wanted for almost half the price.
As far as the producty goes...we have always had GBC products and supplies and alsways happy with the quality. Another note, I did pay extra for the (2) day service and got the binding machine one day after I palced the order.
BTW, I checked with OfficeMax about price matching and the got back to me and said that they only match prices of retailers who have store fronts and do not match etailers prices!!?!?!? Their loss, Amazon's gain.
i will definitely be checking more for office supplies after this experience!

Great buy! Jul 09, 2008
By Elizabeth Davis This one is great! I purchased a cheaper model at Office Max and it was a piece of junk. This one works great and it was here in 2 days.
