This is the correct manufacturer-spec replacement for the water filter in GE refrigerators that need the GSWF filter. It works great and makes the water taste better.

It is hard to write a review for a water filter. How does one comment on whether or not the filter is actually performing as promised? Unless one sends a water sample to a lab, it is impossible to know if the filter is actually removing debris and other contaminants from the water.
So, the only way I know how to review this water filter is to provide feedback on the taste of the water and the clarity/looks of the water.
The water that comes through this filter looks crystal clear and tastes very good. The water from this filter certainly tastes much much better than tap water.

Originally purchased at local hardware store for almost 50% more expensive and returned it after finding it on Amazon. Water tastes great from this filter and is easy to change.

Don't let the word 'used' put you off. These filters are standard, new, and work as such. Excellent fitting to threads and quality output water.
