Good ink, but texture not the same as other inks. Costs too much! Jun 15, 2009 When you receive this HP cartidge, you will find it very easy to install on a B9180 printer. They just snap right in. I never have any problems with clogs or color. Matte Black does have a slightly different texture than other inks, so you can see where the matte black lies on photos.
My only negative comment is that the ink does not last anywhere near what HP claims. Typically I can get about 30-35 5x7s before needing to replace an ink cartridge. Since there's 8 cartriges I figure each 5x7 costs around $5 or more. I can no longer afford this so I will either stop printing, buy another printer, or get 3rd party ink even if it means some quality issues.
Good Ink - High Cost Jun 11, 2009 HP 38 Cyan Pigment Ink Cartridge (C9415A) Purchased this ink for My B9180 Photosmart Pro Printer. It works beautifully, and installation is a snap. However, the price you pay for HP Ink is very high. I have recently switched to Kodak, and the cost is considerably less.

not so great Mar 11, 2009 I hate these 38 ink cartridges. I do not get even close to the amount of printed pages each toner should put out. They are way overpriced. I'm printing on Fast Draft (lowest quality). I only buy them because they are the only ones I can use in my printer. They are not refillable and HP says that even if they were I would not be able to use them in my printer because it would void out my warranty. Definitely not a good bargain. I hate to think what my expense would be if I printed photo quality. Oh yeah, I got some flyers wet and the ink does bleed. It is not waterproof like they advertise.

Stop! These inks are refills! Not HP products Mar 11, 2009 just installed the Light Gray ink which my ProB8850 identified as "refilled". The printer message claims ink level indicators do not work with refilled inks. I contacted HP who claimed using unathorized ink could affect the printer's warranty. I called Amazon's customer service to get this bogus product refunded or replaced and they opted to refund. Stay away from Amazon's 38 Inks! The packaging looked like the real thing and the website's discription repeatedly refered to the quality HP product they were selling. I have purchased 38 inks here before without a problem -Amazon is now misrepresenting the products they sell. They claim I will receive a full credit in 2 - 3 days. I will repost when I see this happen.
It's ink Feb 21, 2009 It's the manufacturers ink cartridge. It works, but it is grossly overpriced. But they all are and so you are stuck. What can you say. The printer does make very nice prints tho.
